PTs can assist clients recovering from a Concussion

A physical therapist can aide in recovery from concussion by addressing balance and coordination issues that stem from injury.

Reflexes can be integrated to regain movement made more difficult by concussion.

Spinal and head motion can be restored to help the body release negative/ protective tension resulting from injury.

Post-concussion syndrome is a complex disorder in which various symptoms — such as headaches and dizziness — last for weeks and sometimes months after the injury that caused the concussion. Concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that usually happens after a blow to the head. Loss of movement skill and speed may go unnoticed due pain and dizziness.
