What is Physical Therapy:
Pediatric physical therapy is learning new movement or re-learning lost movement through sensory play as exercise.
A child can experience movement delays or loss of motor skills due to premature birth, birth injury, genetic and health conditions or through trauma and illness.

If your child has difficulty with motor milestones such as walking, crawling, running, climbing or even appears more “ clumsy” than most, a physical therapist will evaluate their abilities, strength, flexibility, coordination and create a personalized plan for play and parent interaction to help them gain movement skills.
A Therapist may also evaluate for the need for personalized equipment such as bracing, walkers or wheelchairs as well as specialized shoes or supports.
